Campaigns. Association with stress. Planning, creating resources, getting people in place on time. Inform speakers. Check, check again. Schedule updated. Adjust message. Where is the approval of the board of directors? Then the relaxation when it all worked out. Every communication professional encounters it in his development life and knows the feeling.

 

But of course it starts much earlier. What do we actually want to say? What is the message we want to convey? How do you reach your target group(s) with your message? How do you convince them to change their attitude and behavior? What can you expect in counter-arguments? Knowing what you want to tell whom and when, that’s what it’s all about and carrying it out with ironic tenacity and discipline.

 

Campaigns and politics belong together.
We have seen the political campaigns again in the last elections. Always interesting to see how campaigns come across in the full light of public attention. Who knows how to get his message through unscathed? Who reacts most convincingly to unexpected, tricky items? Wonderful times for communication professionals!

Based on the idea that the political campaign is the mother of all campaigns and with the experiences of several national political campaigns, Lennart Booij, Alex Klusman and Erik van Bruggen started the company BKB in 1999. BKB developed into a campaign agency for social themes. Often complicated subjects, which are sensitive and require a carefully formulated message. In order for the message to land, it is important to get the message across to this versatile target group every day in as many ways and through as many channels as possible. You need a strong strategy and discipline for that.
